GrabPoints vs InstaGC Review

October 27, 2018

There are tons of survey sites out there. A quick Google search will reveal hundreds, if not thousands, of survey sites. Users now have an unprecedented number of options to pick from. Given this huge number of choices, you can’t blame a survey site users for feeling a bit overwhelmed. When faced with thousands of options, which do you go for?

This article will try to answer that by comparing two of the biggest names in the survey site scene – GrabPoints and instaGC. I’ll be comparing their earning methods, available rewards, as well as basic details like the number of members each site has, and the amount of payouts they’ve given out.

Before we begin, I’d like to first point out that both sites are totally legit. There are lots of shady sites out there, but GrabPoints and instaGC are both pillars of the industry. But when it comes to providing a truly exceptional experience to members, there can only be one  – so let’s compare, shall we?

GrabPoints and instaGC Basic Info

If you’re unfamiliar with GrabPoints and instaGC, here’s a quick overview of each site. This section will be covering some of the basic, “good-to-know” info about each one.

GrabPoints Earn Free Gift Cards

GrabPoints

GrabPoints has been around since 2014. Since then, its user base has grown to over 4 million members, and it has distributed over $5 million in earnings.

To earn on GrabPoints, you do various small tasks, including answering surveys, watching videos, downloading apps, availing of offers, and playing games.

Completing tasks earns you points, which you can then redeem as cash (sent via PayPal) or gift cards. GrabPoints has tons of gift card options, and including gaming, shopping, entertainment, and cryptocurrencies.

InstaGC.com

instaGC

This site was created in 2011. Since then, they’ve distributed over 1.1 million gift cards to members.

Earning methods on instaGC are a bit similar to GrabPoints. You earn by completing surveys, watching videos, downloading apps, taking offers, and using their proprietary search engine.

You also earn points whenever you complete the above tasks. Earnings are redeemable as cash, but their forte is gift cards – they offer over 350 gift card options.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Each Site

In this section, I’ll be giving you the good and the not-so-good of each site.

GrabPoints: The Good

Lots of earning methods – Answering surveys is their primary earning method, but the site has even more ways to earn. This is great because there will be times when you don’t qualify for any surveys. When that happens, you have other earning options.

More survey providers than usual – GrabPoints also connects you to surveys from third-party sites via survey routers. It currently has over 20 daily survey sites, including Theorem Reach, Revenue Wall, and TapResearch.

It’s the best-paying rewards site on the internet – GrabPoints works with high-paying advertisers, and this translates to high earnings for members. In fact, no other survey or rewards site pays as much as GrabPoints!

Lowest minimum payout – On GrabPoints, you can redeem your earnings when you’ve earned at least $3. A $3 minimum is extremely easy to work with, and gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to withdrawing your earnings.

Wide range of rewards – I always prefer redeeming my earnings as cash, but the site also has a wide range of gift cards from various sites, shops, and establishments such as Subway, Sephora  – and they even offer cryptocurrencies.

Works on any device – GrabPoints’ website is optimized for use on both desktop and mobile devices. You can access GrabPoints on your desktop, or your iOS and Android phones, and expect the same great experience on each one.

GrabPoints: The Not-So-Good

You gotta manage your (earning) expectations – Yep, the site has the highest-paying rewards on the planet. But that still won’t be enough to send your kids to college or buy a new car – so don’t quit your day job just yet. GrabPoints is good for earning a few extra bucks a month – or what I like to call “beer money.”

And now let’s move on to instaGC…

instaGC: The Good

Fast payout processing – Gift cards are sent to your email quickly. No lengthy processing periods!

They’ve tons of gift card options – With over 350 options the chance of you not finding something you like is slim to impossible. They even offer rare gift cards and top ups for Airbnb and Uber.

instaGC: The Not-So-Good

Low payout for tasks – The site also has lots of earning methods, like GrabPoints. But unlike GrabPoints, your earnings here won’t be so stellar.

User experience has declined over the years – They used to be really awesome, but it seems like the experience of instaGC isn’t as awesome as it once was. Tasks aren’t always available, and there are some difficulties with redeeming earnings (see below).

It’s difficult to withdraw your earnings as cash – The site is pretty dedicated to gift card payouts – so dedicated, in fact, that it may be difficult to get earnings as cash instead. Before you can withdraw your earnings as Paypal cash, you will have to redeem $50 through other methods first.

Earning Comparison

And now let’s move on to the most important section in this article: the earning comparisons. After all, earnings are what makes or breaks a survey site. I split this section into three parts, and each one will cover one of the main earning methods on both sites: answering surveys, watching videos, and taking offers.

Answering Surveys

grabpoints vs instagc answering surveys

Conclusion: you can earn up to 35.43% more (or $1.69 more, on average) answering surveys on GrabPoints!

Watching Videos

grabpoints vs instagc watching videos

Conclusion: you can earn up to 12.5% more watching videos on GrabPoints!

Taking Offers

grabpoints vs instagc taking offers

Conclusion: you can earn up to 36.08% more (or $10.52 more, on average) completing offers on GrabPoints!

Conclusion

The better survey site is GrabPoints!

GrabPoints is proven to have the highest earnings for tasks, and a minimum withdrawal amount that is easy to reach. While instaGC has more gift card options, it isn’t enough to move it past GrabPoints.
